The DJI Phantom 4 QuadCopter Drone is one of the industry’s most popular drones, and while it’s a great model, its price is what keeps a lot of people from pulling the trigger and purchasing this drone. It’s a robust model, and the bundle kit is one of the best you’ll find.
Bundle kits are traditionally more expensive because they offer a lot more in the kit. When it comes time to fly your drone around, you’ll find that a kit will provide you with some serious extras.
Drones are an expensive hobby, and kits make it a little more fun.
And with a kit, you don’t need to go out and buy all of the items piece by piece. When you order the kit, you’re set and ready to go. You’ll be able to start shooting professional video and taking stunning images thanks to the kit’s:
The original unit comes with a:
So, as you can see, the bundle really finishes off all of the accessories that you could possibly want with your drone.
If you’re new to drones, you’ll need a bundle like this.
I’m not going to lie, the DJI P4 is one of the best drones on the market today, and it can do a lot. I mean, you don’t get a reputation like DJI has earned without offering a quality product. But what is this drone really like?
Now, you’ll be able to enjoy a flight time of 28 minutes on one battery charge, and maximum control range is 3.1 miles.
That’s a very, very far range.
And if you’ve read through our tips on taking better pictures with your drone, you’ll also want to know that a far range just gives you more options to fly around and have fun. You can take pictures and video from far away using the DJI Phantom 4.
Blazing fast, you’ll be able to fly at 44 MPH – that’s faster than many city roads allow in a vehicle.
If you’ve ever taken photos or videos with a drone, you know that there are often stability issues. There’s vibration, and the camera will move somewhat as a result. Well, DJI offers a high-end gimbal that destroys all of these stabilization issues.
Smoother footage is also offered, and there’s an optimized vision positioning system built-in.
Now, if you’re like me, you have no idea what this mean. It’s fancy wording, but I finally figured it out. What this vision positioning system does is raise positioning altitude so that you can see 10 meters above.
When you need advanced flight features, look no further than this drone. There’s a TapFly option that lets you fly with the tap of a finger. If you’re lost, and you’ve flown your drone a mile or two away, don’t worry, there’s also a return home feature.
You’ll be reunited with your drone in no time thanks to this advanced feature.
And just in case a tree, kid, dog or some other crazy obstacle gets in the drone’s way when it is returning home, it will avoid it. This means that there’s no fear that you’ll be searching the trees for your very expensive drone.
There is a “follow me” feature, too, that will make the phone follow you if you’re running, biking or engaging in some other sport.
There are three flight mode options that will lower the speed, with the sport mode being the fastest option and great when filming during a bike race or the like.
You’ll be able to attach your smartphone to your remote to be able to have a visual of your camera. Tablets will also work as well as many larger phones, and this is a neat option because it allows you to connect right into the DJI app.
Forget about attaching your GoPro or some other camera to your DJI. There’s no need. The unit has its own camera that can take 4K video and pictures that will blow your mind. Lenses can be used to reduce glare, too.
Images are taken in 4000 x 3000 size, and there are several image modes:
DJI’s Phantom 4 QuadCopter Drone is one of the most popular in the industry, and while it’s an advanced drone that gets plenty of rave reviews, it gets an 89% rating in our review. Why? It has a few quirks, which we mentioned above, and at a steep price, we feel that there may be better options on the market, like the Drone X Pro.
But with the lack of support we’re seeing, it’s really hard to recommend this drone. The Android app has had some serious issues for years, and the company seems to shrug off complaints. There are times when the app will close during flight, and this is scary when you’re not able to see what’s happening to your very expensive drone.
A lack of support is what really makes me question this drone above all else.
When there have been app issues for over a year, it’s a problem, especially with the company developing new drones. Perhaps it’s best to overlook this drone for an upgraded model or go with another model that we’ve suggested in our reviews.
Again, the drone itself is top-notch, but the customer service is the real issue.
